Ben Rabinovitch established Avgar in 1988.
For the preceding decade he was General Manager of Hevrat Ha'Ovdim, the labor owned holding organization that then controlled a number of Israel's largest enterprises in banking, insurance manufacturing, construction and retail.
Prior to that he held several key management positions in manufacturing corporations, both Israeli and American.
In between these management positions, he served for one term as a Counsellor at the Israeli Embassy in London.
He has an extensive experience of corporate board memberships, both in the past and at the present .
He has also been on the boards of a few public institutions .
Rabinovitch was educated at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Columbia University in New York and Oxford University.
